Freo Restoration Crew

Im a huge fan of those old hand painted signs that you can find on really old buildings. They hark back to an era when painters and artists were payed and respected for their crafts. Now with cheap digital reproduction any drooling six year old can push out a design.

There is one of these hand painted signs in the heartland of the Freo area. This sign harks back to a historic stage in the development of this portside community. Unfortunately some years back this aging sign was defaced by someone that may not have recognized the significance of this sign.

This defacement was left on the Freo relic for years until a small band of good looking young men could stand for this injustice no longer.

The devilishly handsome and may I add extremely funny group of young men took it upon themselves to restore some of this sacred image. 

We can only hope that the Freo council takes it upon themselves to get a professional restoration team to complete the job that these handsome young gentlemen started.
